Control Surfaces & MIDI Interfaces with Digi 002 Systems for Mac OS X

Control Surfaces

The Digi 002 includes 8 touch-sensitive, motorized faders. These can also be used simultaneously with other MIDI control surfaces to add more faders to your Digi 002.

The following control surfaces are qualified for use with Digi 002 systems with Pro Tools LE version 6.1.x and 6.2.x software for Mac OS X:

• Digidesign/Focusrite Control|24
• CM Labs MotorMix™
• JL Cooper CS-10™ MIDI series
• Mackie Designs HUI™

Notes:

• Digidesign ProControl, FaderPack for ProControl and EditPack for ProControl are not compatible with Digi 002 or other Pro Tools LE systems. ProControl is only compatible with TDM systems.
• The faders on a Digi 002 cannot be used to control any device other than itself
• New MIDI control surface features are provided through the latest Control Surface Personality files installed with Pro Tools
• Pro Tools 6.0 and later no longer supports and will not install the Penny & Giles MM-16 and DC-16 Control Surface Personality Files

MIDI Interfaces

Built-In

The Digi 002 includes a built-in MIDI interface with 1 MIDI In port and 2 MIDI Out ports, providing up to 16 channels of MIDI input and up to 32 channels of MIDI output.

Additional

The following MIDI Interfaces are also qualified for use with Digi 002 systems with Pro Tools LE version 6.1.x and 6.2.x software for Mac OS X:

• Digidesign MIDI I/O - USB MIDI interface with 10 MIDI I/O ports, supporting 160 MIDI channels
• Emagic AMT8/MT4
• MOTU MTP AV
• Roland MPU64/UM2/UM4

Only USB MIDI interfaces are compatible with Pro Tools systems for Mac OS X. Modem-to-serial port adapters and serial MIDI devices are not supported.
