ECx Ethernet Option for D-Show Console
The ECx Ethernet Option card allows you to control the D-Show console remotely from a laptop or tablet PC — even wirelessly — with exact mirroring of console functions.
System Requirements
The following are required to use the ECx Ethernet Option:
- A D-Show system that has already been installed and configured, running D-Show 1.1 or later
- A qualified router or wireless access point device
- A client computer running Windows XP or Mac OS X with wired or wireless Ethernet capability
Ethernet Hardware
For wireless communication with the ECx Ethernet Option, 802.11g or Pre-N (802.11n) capable devices are recommended. 802.11b is not supported. An Ethernet crossover cable can also be used for a direct, wired connection between the client computer and ECx.
The following wireless products have been tested to work with ECx:
Windows Client Requirements
- Computer running Windows XP Pro
- Minimum 1024 x 768 screen resolution
- Minimum 16-bit color graphics, 32-bit recommended
- Minimum 256 MB RAM, 512 MB (or more) recommended
- Minimum 5 MB of available hard disk space
- CD-ROM drive for installation
- Wired or wireless Ethernet adapter (built-in or adapter card)
- Installation requires Windows XP Administrator permissions. Once installed, the software can be run under Admin or User accounts.
Mac Client Requirements
- PowerBook G4
- Mac OS X 10.3.8 or higher
- Minimum 1024 x 768 screen resolution
- Minimum 16-bit color graphics, 32-bit recommended
- Minimum 256 MB RAM, 512 MB (or more) recommended
- Minimum 5 MB of available hard disk space
- CD-ROM drive for installation
- Wired or wireless Ethernet adapter (built-in or adapter card)
