With M-Audio Audio Interfaces with Pro Tools M-Powered 7 for Windows XP

Control Surfaces

The following control surfaces are qualified for use with M-Audio systems with Pro Tools M-Powered 7 software for Windows XP:

• Digidesign Command|8
• CM Labs MotorMix
• Mackie Designs HUI

Notes:

• Pro Tools M-Powered software does not support Digidesign Ethernet control surfaces, such as Control|24, ProControl, ICON D-Control, or ICON D-Command.
• Only one Command|8 can be used with a Pro Tools system. Multiple Command|8 units cannot be enabled simultaneously.
• If using Command|8, it must be the only MIDI control surface enabled within Pro Tools.

If additional MIDI ports are required beyond the MIDI I/O included with supported M-Audio audio/MIDI interfaces, the following MIDI Interfaces are also qualified for use with Pro Tools M-Powered software:

M-Audio (previously Midiman) USB MIDI Interfaces were not tested with Pro Tools M-Powered systems.

Known Issues

• System instabilities and performance issues can occur when using MIDI control surfaces in conjunction with Pro Tools and 3rd party MIDI interfaces. For best multiport MIDI performance when using Pro Tools, we recommend using Digidesign's MIDI I/O if additional MIDI ports are required beyond the MIDI I/O included with supported M-Audio audio/MIDI interfaces.
