MassivePack 4

The MassivePack 4 promotion ended December 20, 2005.

Please Note: If you purchased MassivePack 4 and have not registered the product by completing your online activation of your iLok licenses, you must do so before May 31, 2006*. Digidesign will not be able to provide online authorizations after that date.

*The previous activation deadline has been extended to May 31, 2006.

  • Please note that you do not have to install the plug-ins until you are ready to do so.
  • The only thing that the online activation of your MassivePack 4 online does is deposit the licenses to your iLok.com User Account.
  • Your iLok.com User ID is the account name that you use when you login to iLok.com, not your password, iLok nickname, or anything printed on your iLok such as the serial number or manufacturing part number of the iLok.

All plug-ins included with MassivePack 4 are compatible with Pro Tools|HD Accel systems on Mac OS X and Windows XP.

*The MC2000 plug-in included with MassivePack 4 is TDM-only and does not contain an RTAS® version. Customers should contact McDSP for upgrade information.

**Speed is an AudioSuite™ plug-in and is not available for VENUE systems.

***The URS A10 and N12 plug-ins included with MassivePack 4 support TDM, RTAS, and AudioSuite formats and share a single non-transferable iLok license asset. Support for Audio Units, VST, and transferable iLok licenses are available with the upgrade to the retail version. For upgrade information, visit URS at www.ursplugins.com/mpack4support.html.

The following MassivePack 4 plug-in updates are required for compatibility with Pro Tools HD 7.0:

MassivePack 4 Plug-in Updates for Pro Tools HD 7 on Mac OS X

MassivePack 4 customers upgrading to Pro Tools HD 7 for Mac OS X must use the updates for Crane Song Phoenix, Sony Oxford EQ, and URS A10 & N12. The previous versions of these plug-ins will not work in Pro Tools HD 7.

Digidesign Massive Pack Sony Oxford EQ Owners

The Sony Oxford EQ v2.5 uses a different iLok license from previous versions, so customers obtaining their Massive Pack 4 plug-in licenses before November 3, 2005 will need to visit www.sonyplugins.com to obtain an updated license for Oxford EQ v2.5.

Note: Oxford plug-ins can be upgraded to the Pro Tools 7 versions free of charge within a six month period from the time of original registration. If upgrading 6 months (or more) after original registration, Pro Tools 7 versions will be charged at 10 GBP (approx 18USD) per licence.

To obtain your new iLok license for Sony Oxford EQ v2.5:

  1. Go to www.sonyplugins.com/buy
  2. Choose Upgrades
  3. Choose "If you require an upgrade to Digidesign ProTools 7 then click here."
  4. Follow the instructions there to get your new iLok license

This license update from Sony will remove the old license and replace it with a new license. Version 2.5 is compatible with both Pro Tools HD 7 and Pro Tools 6.x.

MassivePack 3 Plug-in Updates for Pro Tools|HD Accel Systems on Mac OS X

The Smack! plug-in v1.0 included with early purchases of the MassivePack v3.0 plug-in promotion requires an update to Smack! v1.0.2:

  • Smack! version 1.0 was inadvertently set to expire on October 9th, 2004
  • Version 1.0.2 has no expiration date

Slightly Rude Compressor by Digidesign/Bomb Factory

Fixes in Bomb Factory Plug-Ins 4.2:

  • Bomb Factory AudioSuite plug-ins are now compatible with Avid software that supports the AudioSuite plug-in format. Supported Avid systems include Avid Xpress DV, Avid Xpress Pro software, and all Avid DNA systems.

MDW High-Res Parametric EQ by Massenburg Design Works

  • MDW EQ 1.4 adds compatibility for the Windows XP operating system
  • MDW EQ 1.4 for Mac OS X fixes a bug where support for control surfaces was lost when using Pro Tools 6.2.3 or lower
  • Free update for all MDW EQ owners, including MassivePack 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 owners

H949 Harmonizer by Eventide

Version 1.13 of the H949 Harmonizer plug-in improves compatibility with G5 and Panther and it no longer fails the Digi Plug-in compatability checker for Panther.

MassivePack 3 Plug-in Updates for Pro Tools|HD Accel Systems on Windows XP

The following downloads for Windows XP require your MassivePack 3.0 iLok authorizations, with the exception of the Sony Oxford EQ.

Authorization Notes

  • The majority of the MassivePack plug-ins are authorized using the iLok USB Smart Key and the 2 license cards included with your MassivePack 3.0.
  • The exception is the Sony Oxford EQ, which is authorized using a serial number provided on a postcard included in the MassivePack v3.0.

Authorizing the Sony Oxford EQ

  • Sony Oxford EQ is authorized using a serial number provided on a postcard included in the MassivePack 3 bundle. Please follow the instructions provided on the postcard to authorize the plug-in.

MassivePack 3 Windows XP Downloads

Direct Downloads

These downloads are the same as the plug-ins included on the MassivePack 3.0 CD for Mac and Windows. If you purchased MassivePack 3.0 when it was first released, with only the Mac plug-ins, you can use your existing authorizations for these Windows XP versions of the same plug-ins.

Notes:

  • The MassivePack versions of FilterBank and MC2000 by McDSP are TDM only
  • While SoundToys’ SoundBlender for Windows XP is not HD Accel-compatible, it does run on Pro Tools|HD Accel systems by utilizing DSP on a system’s HD Core card
  • SoundToys Speed is an AudioSuite-only plug-in
  • Check with individual Digidesign Developers for updates of their MassivePack plug-ins when available

Windows ZIP (.zip) format downloads should be downloaded to your local hard drive by choosing "Save to Disk", then expanded. Windows XP has the un-zip capability built into the XP operating system. After saving to your Desktop in Windows XP, right-click on the file and choose "Open".

Version 1.11

  • In v1.10 after a DSP Shuffle occurs, H949 Harmonizer plug-in will process audio with its default parameter settings, even though the GUI will show the correct settings. Because of the variety of DSP types in HD|Accel systems, a DSP shuffle is fairly likely to occur during session loading. Version 1.11, released 10/21/03, solves this.
