Apple PowerBook G4 — Digi 002

With Pro Tools LE Version 5.3.2 for Mac OS 9

Apple PowerBook G4 Computers Supported:

* The 800 MHz PowerBook G4 does not work properly with the hardware buffer size of 64 when used at 44.1/48 KHz. Additionally, the 128 buffer size also does not work at 88.2/96 KHz. These are the "lowest buffer settings" at each respective sample rate. Any other buffer setting is fine.

Additional Requirements:

Mac OS 9.2.2 Required

• OS X is not supported with Pro Tools 5.x
• OS X "Classic Mode" is not supported. You must boot choosing Mac OS 9 to use Pro Tools 5.x

2003 OS X Only Models — Not Compatible with Mac OS 9 & Pro Tools LE 5.3.2

2003 PowerBook models that can only boot in OS X cannot be used with Digi 002 and Pro Tools 5.3.2:

• 867 MHz PowerBook G4 (12" screen) 2003 model
• 867 MHz PowerBook G4 (15" screen) 2003 model
• 1 GHz PowerBook G4 (15" screen) 2003 model
• 1 GHz PowerBook G4 (17" screen) 2003 model

Pro Tools 6 for Digi 002 on Mac OS X is required to use these PowerBook G4 models.

External Diskette Drive

Although not required with Pro Tools installation, a Digidesign-qualified external diskette drive may be required for installation of some plug-ins and optional software applications.

FireWire Hard Drives

• Qualified for up to 32 tracks of 24-bit/48 kHz audio with 1 DigiDrive® FireWire drive
• Qualified for up to 24 tracks of 24-bit/96 kHz audio with 1 DigiDrive® FireWire drive
• Qualified for up to 32 tracks of 24-bit/96 kHz audio with 2 DigiDrive® FireWire drives
