Pro Tools Version 5.1.1. Additions

June 2001

Version 5.1.1 is essentially a maintenance release to version 5.1, with the addition of a few added features:

  • Support for surround/multichannel functionality in Control|24 (Pro Tools TDM only)
  • Display enhancements to the Show/Hide Tracks List
  • Changes to the Edit/Mix Groups List
  • Enhancements to the Zoomer Tool functionality
  • Importation of compressed QuickTime files (Mac only)
  • New POW-r Dither TDM DigiRack Plug-In (for Pro Tools TDM systems only)
  • Added RTAS support for the DigiRack Trim Plug-In

Instructions

These Pro Tools 5.1.1 updater files require that Pro Tools version 5.1 is already installed on your computer. Your Pro Tools 5.1 serial number is required to download. This can be found in one of the following locations:

  • Inside the front cover of your TDM Installation Guide
  • Inside the front cover of your Getting Started with Digi 001 booklet
  • Inside the front cover of your Getting Started with ToolBox XP booklet
  • Confirmation receipt of your purchase of a Pro Tools 5.1 Upgrade from the DigiStore

Pro Tools TDM 5.1.1 Mac Updater
From 5.1 for Mac-OS

Mac OS 9.0.4 or 9.1 highly recommended. OS X is not compatible. QuickTime 4.1.2 required, available on your Pro Tools 5.1 CD or download the standalone QuickTime 4.1.2 Installer from Apple.

Mac downloads are MacBinary (.bin) encoded files that require Stuffit Expander version 5.1 or higher. Download Aladdin Stuffit Expander for Mac.

Windows downloads are Windows ZIP (.zip) format, and require a zip utility such as WinZip, PKZIP, or Aladdin Stuffit Expander for Windows.
