We have posted a new installer for Dynamics III that fixes an installation problem for some Pro Tools 6.x users on Windows XP only. Dynamics III remains version 6.9 for Pro Tools 6.x and 7.x HD, LE, and M-Powered systems on Mac OS X & Windows XP. After downloading and unzipping, this new installer is dated December 2, 2005.

What’s Fixed in this New Installer for Dynamics III Plug-In for Windows XP?

Fixed: Pro Tools can’t find MSVCP71.dll error (Item #71314)

• After installing the Dynamics III version 6.9 plug-in on Windows XP, Pro Tools will throw an error “Can’t find MSVCP71.dll” when loading the Dynamics III plug-in. This issue is Windows XP specific and does not affect the Mac oS X or VENUE versions of the Dynamics III 6.9 plug-in.

Who Should Use Dynamics III 6.9 for Windows XP?

• This installer is recommended for all Dynamics III users on Windows XP
• This update is not needed for VENUE systems or Mac OS X users
