Information on Tempo Lock Feature

• Tempo Lock allows Echo Farm to automatically lock to the tempo of the Pro Tools session, even when Tempo changes occur. To engage and disengage Tempo Lock, click on the lock icon next to the Tempo section in the Echo Farm interface. Pro Tools v6.2 or higher is required to use the Tempo Lock feature.

Version History

• Echo Farm 2.1.3 added Mac OSX "Panther" compatibility and support for Pro Tools 6.2.2 on Pro Tools|HD and Pro Tools|22 MIX hardware.
• Echo Farm 2.1.2 added OSX compatibility and support for Pro Tools 6.0 on Pro Tools|HD and Pro Tools|24 MIX hardware.
• In previous versions of Echo Farm, a problem was discovered where using the Auto Level Echo Model in a 48 kHz session in Multichannel mode produced low level distortion. This problem has been fixed in v2.1.2 on Macintosh OS X & OS 9 and v2.01 on Windows XP.
• Echo Farm 2.0.1 added compatibility with Pro Tools|HD Mac & Windows XP systems.
• Echo Farm 2.0.1 added support for sample rates up to 96 kHz on Pro Tools|HD systems.

• Echo Farm only runs on the chips on MIX, HD, or HD Accel cards
• "Legacy" DSP Farm cards (such as those included with Pro Tools|24 systems) do not work with Echo Farm

Installation:

Installing Echo Farm on Mac OS X or OS 9

The download includes a complete installer. To install:

1. If you have an iLok athorized version of Echo Farm, download and install the latest version of the iLok Drivers for Mac & Windows
2. Quit Pro Tools and any other open applications
3. Double-click on the installer application named "Install Echo Farm"
4. Follow the prompts. A reboot may be required.

Installing Echo Farm for Pro Tools|HD on Windows XP

The download includes a complete installer. To install:

1. If you have an iLok athorized version of Echo Farm, download and install the latest version of the iLok Drivers for Mac & Windows
2. Quit Pro Tools and any other open applications
3. Double-click on the installer application named "Echo Farm Setup.exe"
4. Follow the prompts. A reboot may be required.

The Echo Farm plug-in will now be available the next time that you use Pro Tools (Your authorized iLok must be inserted to use Echo Farm. See below)

Authorizing Echo Farm

Echo Farm 2.0 or higher requires iLok authorization. The same iLok authorization will work with these downloads on any supported OS, as will MIXpack iLoks that came with Echo Farm as part of some MIXpack promotional bundles. Floppy disk authorizations will not work with this version. Beginning with the release of Echo Farm 2.0 in December 2002, new purchases of Echo Farm include the iLok License Card with the package.

Beginning in December, 2002, all registered Echo Farm owners that purchased the older retail version of Echo Farm that shipped with floppy key disk authorization were automatically sent Echo Farm 2.0 update kits with the installer CD and an iLok License Card. If you have not yet registered, fax or mail your registration card using the address or fax number on the card. If you are a registered Echo Farm owner and have not received your iLok authorization, please Contact Digidesign Customer Service Administration.

IMPORTANT: Please download and install the latest version of the iLok Drivers for Mac & Windows in order to use your iLok USB Hardware Key authorization before installing Echo Farm. There is currently no demo version of Echo Farm. You must have an iLok with the Echo Farm authorization in order to use these downloads on either Pro Tools|HD, HD Accel, or MIX systems.

Windows ZIP (.zip) format downloads should be downloaded to your local hard drive by choosing "Save to Disk", then expanded. Windows XP has the un-zip capability built into the XP operating system. After saving to your Desktop in Windows XP, right-click on the file and choose "Open". Other Windows operating systems require a Zip utility such as WinZip, PKZIP, or Aladdin Stuffit Expander for Windows.
