This downlod includes the following DigiRack plug-in:

  • Time Comp-Exp/Pitch Shift (version 5.3)
  • TCE 5.3 Read Me

The Time Compression-Expansion/Pitch Shift plug-in that installs with Pro Tools TDM version 5.3.1 for Macintosh does not function properly under the following circumstances:

  • When time expanding a region, there will often be a silent portion at the end of the processed region.

This problem affects both the Time Compression Expansion AudioSuite plug-in and the TCE Trimmer tool.

Installation
If you have Pro Tools TDM version 5.3.1 for Macintosh Pro Tools|HD systmes installed, replace the 5.3.1 version of Time Comp-Exp/Pitch Shift (located in System Folder > DAE Folder > Plug-Ins Folder) with this 5.3 version of the same name. Drag the plug-in into the folder and click OK to replace.

Compatibility
This version of Time Comp-Exp/Pitch Shift is compatible with Pro Tools versions 5.3 through 5.3.1 (and all revisions thereof) with Pro Tools|HD Macintosh systems only.

Additional Technical Note
Users who regress to this 5.3 version should be careful about using Time Compression/Expansion at extremely short ratios (0.250:1) with "create continuous file" checked.
