Apple iMac G4 — Digi 002

With Pro Tools LE Version 5.3.2 for Mac OS 9

Apple iMac G4 "Flat Panel" Computers Supported:

* 2002 model that can boot in OS 9

Note: the Apple eMac models have not been tested.

Additional Requirements:

Mac OS 9.2.2 Required

• See Mac OS Requirements
• Mac OS 9.2.2 is pre-installed with the above iMac G4 models. All of the above computers ship from Apple with a dual-boot system that includes both OS X and OS 9.2.2
• OS X is not supported with Pro Tools 5.x
• Classic Mode under OS X is also not supported, you must choose Mac OS 9.2.2 as your startup system either in your Startup Disk Control Panel or by holding down the Option key during startup in order to use Pro Tools 5.x

2003 OS X Only Models — Not Compatible

The latest 2003 iMac models that can only boot in OS X cannot be used with Digi 002 and Pro Tools 5.3.2.

• 800 MHz G4 iMac (15" screen)
• 1 GHz G4 iMac (17" screen)

Pro Tools 6 for Digi 002 on Mac OS X is scheduled for release in Q2 2003.

External Diskette Drive

Although not required with Pro Tools installation, a Digidesign-qualified external diskette drive may be required for installation of some plug-ins and optional software applications.

Hard Drives — Audio Storage Requirements

Although limited recording and playback of audio tracks may be possible using the internal drive in the iMac, a separate dedicated audio hard drive is highly recommended for maximum performance and track count.

Firewire Hard Drives
