What's Fixed in Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1?

Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1 contains the following:

Fixed: Quantizing Chords Could Silence Some MIDI Notes in Pro Tools LE 6.0.1 (Item #36042)
Some Digi 001 users found that quantizing chords could result in some of the notes being silenced upon playback.

Fixed: "All Notes Off" Sometimes Does Not Work in Pro Tools LE 6.0.1 (Items #36043 and #36070)
Some Digi 001 users found that the "All Notes Off" MIDI command did not work if notes were lined up on the same tick.

Who Should use Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1?

Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1 can only be used to update Pro Tools LE 6.0.1 on Macintosh. If you are using a version of Pro Tools earlier than 6.0.1, you must first upgrade to Pro Tools LE 6.0.1 on Macintosh, then install the Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1 application.

This update should be used only by:

• Pro Tools LE users with a Digi 001 I/O interface on Macintosh-based systems, who use MIDI tracks

Important: We recommend that only the Pro Tools users specified above use this update. Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1 is provided as an interim "customer support (CS)" release to address the issues described. While our testing has not shown these changes to introduce other problems, this version has not been fully qualified by Digidesign.

To install Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1 on Mac OS X:

1. Make sure you are logged in as an Administrator for the account where you want to install Pro Tools. For details on Administrator privileges in Mac OS X, refer to your Apple OS X documentation.
2. Double-click "Install Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1"
3. Enter your Administrator password and click OK to authenticate the installation
4. Make sure the Install Location is on your Startup hard drive
5. Click Install
6. Restart your computer when you are finished

• An earlier installer version incorrectly placed the files "DAE" and "DigiDirectIO" in this directory:
  System/Library/CFMSupport/
• The current installer correctly places these 2 files in the following location:
  Library/Application Support/Digidesign/
• After installing or uninstalling, there will be a PTLE 6.0.1cs1 installer log on your root hard drive.

For best results, use the latest version of Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator for Mac OS X. Other browsers, such as Apple's Safari Public Beta, may not work properly with this download. This Mac download is a 2.1 MB OS X Disk Image format (.dmg) encoded as MacBinary (.bin) file that requires Stuffit Expander version 5.1 or higher, included with Mac OS X.

• Click on the Apple icon below to download the Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1 Update to your local hard drive.
• Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to decode if it does not expand automatically. You should then have a mounted disk image.
• If Stuffit Expander fails to do anything with the file and quits immediately, that is a sign that the downloaded file extension has been incorrectly renamed during the download. If that happens, change the extension on the end of the file name to .dmg so that it is recognized as an OS X disk image.
• If the download still fails to open, try dragging it onto the icon for Disk Copy located in your Applications/Utilities folder, or launch Disk Copy and drag the downloaded file into the Disk Copy window. This should mount the disk image.
• You should then have a Mac OS X Disk Image named "Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1" with the installer application "Install Pro Tools LE 6.0.1cs1" and the PT LE 6.0.1cs1 Read Me.pdf with the information above.

This Pro Tools 6.0.1cs1 Updater requires a Digi 001 Pro Tools LE system with Pro Tools LE version 6.0.1 already installed.
