Note: This product should not be confused with the OrangeVocoder™ VST PlugIn sold separately by Prosoniq. There is no upgrade path from OrangeVocoder™ VST PlugIn to the Orange Vocoder RTAS version for Pro Tools.

What's New In Orange Vocoder v2.0?

• Panther & G5 Compatibility
  Orange Vocoder v2.0.1 added support for Pro Tools TDM and LE systems on Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) and on Power Mac G5 models.
• Pro Tools|HD Compatibility
  Orange Vocoder v2.0 added support for Pro Tools|HD systems on Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X
• Mac OS X Compatibility
  Orange Vocoder v2.0 added support for all Pro Tools TDM and LE systems on Mac OS X as well as previously supported Mac OS 9
• New MIDI Feature
  The Orange Vocoder's built in Synth can now receive MIDI from Pro Tools. When the Orange Vocoder is instantiated, Pro Tools will create an Orange Vocoder MIDI node that can be set as an output for any MIDI track in your session.

Known Issues

Side-Chain Input Only Supported with Pro Tools LE
The Side-Chain input feature on the Orange Vocoder is only supported with Pro Tools LE. When the Orange Vocoder is used in a Pro Tools TDM session, the Side-Chain input will not be available. This limitation is due to the engineering architecture of running RTAS plug-ins on TDM systems.

System Requirements

Orange Vocoder 2.0 requires an iLok USB Hardware Key and an iLok authorization for v2.0. Floppy disk authorizations will not work with this version. With the release of Prosoniq Orange Vocoder 2.0, new purchases of Orange Vocoder include the iLok License Card with the package. iLok USB hardware key sold separately.

The Orange Vocoder 2.0.4 download on this page works with the following Pro Tools Systems:

• All Pro Tools TDM v6.0 or higher systems on Mac OS X
• All Pro Tools LE v6.0 or higher systems on Mac OS X

The Orange Vocoder 2.0 download on this page works with the following Pro Tools Systems:

• All Pro Tools TDM v5.1.1 or higher systems on Mac OS 9
• All Pro Tools LE v5.1.1 or higher systems on Mac OS 9

How can I upgrade to Orange Vocoder v2.0?

Orange Vocoder 2.0 is a FREE UPDATE for the following customers:

• All registered Orange Vocoder v1.0 owners that are also registered for a Pro Tools|HD system on Mac OS
• All registered Orange Vocoder v1.0 owners that are also registered for Pro Tools 6 or Pro Tools LE 6 for Mac OS X

There is no paid upgrade available from Orange Vocoder v1.0.

Procedure

1. You will need an iLok USB hardware key

2. You will need to create an iLok.com account if you have not done so already, so that you can provide Customer Service with your iLok account information

3. Customers will need to contact Digidesign Customer Service at their local Digidesign Office to request the update

4. Once your registration and eligibility are confirmed, Digidesign Customer Service will deposit an authorization asset for Orange Vocoder v2.0 into your iLok.com account

5. After you transfer your iLok.com authorization to your iLok, you will need to download and install Orange Vocoder 2.0

Installing Orange Vocoder 2.0

The download includes a complete installer. To install:

1. Download Orange Vocoder 2.0.4 for OS X or Orange Vocoder 2.0 for OS 9
2. Expand the download with Stuffit Expander
3. Quit Pro Tools and any other open applications
4. Double-click on the installer application named "Install Orange Vocoder"
5. The Orange Vocoder plug-in will now be available the next time that you use Pro Tools

IMPORTANT: Please download and install the latest version of the iLok Drivers for Mac OS X or Mac OS 9 in order to use your iLok USB Hardware Key authorization before installing Orange Vocoder 2.0 or higher.
