Sound Designer II

  • Sound Designer II v2.8.3 — Sound Designer II software is a separate (discontinued) program that can be used as a 2-track recording and editing program with Pro Tools III hardware.
  • Sound Designer II software has not been tested with OS 9.
  • Mac OS 8.6 was the last supported Mac OS with Sound Designer II v2.8.3, which added compatibility with Mac OS 8.
  • PCI systems do not support the use of Sound Designer II Plug-Ins.
  • Sound Designer II software requires Pro Tools III hardware or other SDII compatible Digidesign hardware, such as the Audiomedia III card. It does not work in standalone mode, and does not work with the Mbox, Digi 001, or Pro Tools|24 and newer hardware.
