EXE (.exe) file. The Digidesign WaveDriver v5.3.1 is a two-channel, multimedia sound driver that allows third-party audio applications to record and play back through channels 1–2 of the following systems only:

• Pro Tools|24 MIX on Windows XP & 2000
• Pro Tools|24 on Windows XP & 2000

The Digidesign WaveDriver is not required to use Pro Tools, so it is not installed by Pro Tools 5.3.1. However, it is necessary to install Pro Tools v5.3.1 and your Digidesign hardware before installing the Digidesign WaveDriver v5.3.1 in order to use the WaveDriver with third-party applications. Please see the "Installing WaveDriver" section of the WaveDriver 5.3.1 Read Me:

Download to your hard drive, unzip the download, then follow the Windows installation instructions from the ProControl Guide:

To install Digidesign Ethernet support for ProControl:

1. On the desktop, right-click the My Network Places icon, and then choose Properties.
2. Right-click the relevant Local Area Connection icon, and then choose Properties.
3. Click on Install, select Protocol and Click on Add button.
4. Click on Have Disk.
5. Point to DigiNet.inf file in the \Controllers\ Procontrol directory on your Pro Tools Installer CD-ROM, or the location on your hard drive if you have downloaded this update.
6. Follow the instructions on-screen to complete the installation.

The Installer puts the DigiNet.inf files in the Digidesign\DAE\Controllers\Procontrol directory.

Download to your hard drive and unzip.
