How to Purchase the Pro Tools LE 5.1.1 & 5.3.1 Upgrades

• If you already own Pro Tools LE 5.1, you can download the free Pro Tools LE 5.1.1 updater for Mac OS & Windows 98SE/Me or download Pro Tools LE 5.3.1 for Windows XP

• If you do not already have Pro Tools LE 5.1 or higher, you can purchase an upgrade from any previous version of Pro Tools LE 5.0.1 or older to Pro Tools LE 6.x for $75 (USD)

• The Pro Tools LE 6.x upgrades are available online from the DigiStore using our secure credit card transaction process. (requires MasterCard, Visa or American Express)

• After you have completed your online transaction, you will have the option to immediately download Pro Tools LE 5.1.1.

• All Pro Tools 6.x upgrades that are purchased on the DigiStore or from Digidesign dealers are only available as shipping products. There are no downloads for Pro Tools 6.x upgrades.

• Note: if your country is not listed as an option in the DigiStore order form, you must upgrade through the Digidesign office or distributor where your Pro Tools system is registered.

• Please allow 1 to 2 weeks from time of purchase to receive your shipment.

Free Pro Tools LE Updates

• If you purchased a Digi 001 or ToolBox XP system from an authorized Digidesign dealer on or after September 1, 2000, and have registered that system with us, you would have been shipped the update to Pro Tools LE 5.1.

• If you already have Pro Tools LE 5.1, you can download the 5.1.1 updater for Windows 98SE & Windows Me

• If you already have Pro Tools LE 5.3.1 for Windows XP, you can download the Pro Tools LE 5.1.1 sidegrade for Windows 98SE & Windows Me

• If you have purchased an upgrade to Pro Tools LE 5.1.1 for either Mac or Windows 98/Me, you can Download Pro Tools LE 5.3.1 for Windows XP

• If you qualify for these updates because you own Pro Tools LE 5.1, 5.1.1, or 5.3.1, but are not able to download, contact your Authorized Digidesign Dealer for information on how to obtain Pro Tools Update CDs.

• Pro Tools 5.1.1 & 5.3.1 Updater CDs for Pro Tools 5.1 owners are not available directly from Digidesign.

• Pro Tools LE 5.1.1 for Windows 98/Me and Pro Tools LE 5.3.1 for Windows XP upgrades are no longer sold. Pro Tools LE 6.x for Windows XP and Mac OS X upgrades have replaced the 5.1.1 and 5.3.1 upgrades.

Compatibility Information

Pro Tools LE 5.1.1 for Windows 98SE/Me and Pro Tools LE 5.3.1 for Windows XP require a Digi 001 or ToolBox/Audiomedia III* hardware system. Before ordering an upgrade, make sure that your setup meets the complete system requirements as outlined in the Digidesign Compatibility Documents

*Audiomedia III PCI card + Pro Tools LE software = ToolBox system. If you have an Audiomedia III card, but do not own Pro Tools software, you can purchase either of these upgrades, which are full installations that do not require previous installation of Pro Tools.
